2008 Summer Art Studio for Children.

TEACHING THE YOUNG ARTIST TO DRAW A PORTRAIT a day-long workshop with Margaret Farrell Bruno Ages: 8-12 Saturday, July 12 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. FEE: $75 members/$85 non This one-day workshop will introduce the young artist to drawing a charcoal portrait. The class will start by teaching the concepts of how to break down the subject into very simple geometric shapes and patterns (“blocking in”). As the day progresses, more simple and easy tools and ideas will be introduced. Students should bring a lunch.

KIDS KNIT!with Mac Haran Ages: 6 up August 4 - 8 9:00 11:00 a.m. FEE: $75 members/$85 non-member In this class we will create a number of wonderful knitted and felted treasures such as potholders, coaster, comfort dolls and more! We welcome all levels of student artists, ages 6-11. Our talented staff of instructors will encourage each student to work to his/her potential. Each week-long session runs from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. A mid-morning snack is provided.
