Everyone Can Draw & Paint (with a little practice) with Susan F. Lynch Raffa

This is primarily a beginning still-life class, but all levels are welcome. We will work in a simplified, controlled setting to learn the skills necessary to begin and complete a drawing and/or painting. Instruction will be provided to all students in order to build skills and use the correct tools to consistently create successful projects. We will work primarily in oil from a still-life. A supply list will be provided upon registration - bring charcoal and a sketch book. Join others in a friendly, non-competitive environment.

PAINTING A PASTEL PORTRAIT | a weekend workshop

This class is an exploration of the pastel medium to paint a pastel portrait. Drawing, composition, light, shadow and values will be emphasized, along with pastel application and capturing a likeness. Students will work from a live model, but will learn techniques to create portraits from your own photos.

Painting the Local Landscape in Pastel

This five-day workshop will focus on painting on location in the pastel medium. Topics covered will include palette and paper selection, portability, tips and techniques for plein aire painting, and more. There will be daily demonstrations, essential landscape drawing lessons, and individual instruction at your easel. Open for all level student.
